Box Score DALLAS, TX-- The Dallas Christian College Baseball team (0-1) suffered a 10-4 loss on opening day against Southwestern Christian University on Friday afternoon at Glenda and Denny Dixon Field.
The Crusaders started the game off strong with a RBI walk by
Cooper Ness in the second Inning. DCC continued its offensive prowess into the third inning tacking on three runs after an RBI single by
Josh Freeman,and a 2 RBI single by
Joel Stone to extend the DCC lead to 4-0. DCC had a strong first four innings and did not allow a run. SCU scored 10 runs in the last 5 innings.Â

Brandon Andrews went 2-4 on the day and scored a run.
Joel Stone went 1-3 with 2 RBI's.
Bryce Garza pitched 4 innings and gave up 3 hits, 2 runs, and struck out six batters. JD Holiday gave struck out 2 batters and gave up 2 earned runs in three innings of work on the mound. The Crusaders will be back on the field tomorrow for a double-header against Southwestern Christian at 12 and Dillard University at 2:30 p.m.
