Box Score RANDALL, OK-- The Dallas Christian College men's basketball team continued its impressive play on Saturday afternoon with an 89-78 victory over Randall University on the road to extend the win streak to two games and move to 3-1 in NCCAA Divison II Southwest Region Conference play.
The Crusaders found themselves trailing 43-35 at halftime and were able to come out focused and dominated the offensive end in the second half outscoring RU 54-35 in the second half to secure a second straight victory with an 89-78 win.
DCC shot 33-60 (55%) from the field, 8-19 (42.1%) from the three-point line, and 16-28 (57%) from the free-throw line. The Crusaders totaled 5 second chance points, 42 points in the paint, 23 points off turnovers, and 23 bench points.Â
Jairus Allen led the Crusaders with a team-high 18 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists on8-13 shooting from the field.
Taro Ford continued his hot shooting from beyond the arc with 5 made three pointers and 17 total points on 60% shooting from the field.
Joseph Allen totaled 15 points, 2 steals, 2 assists, and 2 rebounds on 4-6 shooting from the field, and 5-6 from the free-throw line.
Tyjuan Battles had 12 points on 4-9 shooting from the field and Tilly Hobson gave the Crusaders a lift off the bench with 17 points on 7-15 shooting from the field. The Crusaders scored 16 points more than the season average of 73 points and gave up thirteen less points than the season average of 91 points on the defensive end. DCC has tightened up the defense and is starting to hit its stride at the right time as conference play heats up. The Crusaders will face Arlington Baptist on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m.
