DCC Baseball goes Wire-to-Wire with Arlington Baptist in Tough Series

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 | Box Score 4 FORT WORTH – The Dallas Christian College baseball team battled through a tough weekend, as all four contests with regional rival Arlington Baptist University were determined by one run. Unfortunately DCC was on the wrong side of three of those contests, with two of the games being walk-offs for the Patriots. The Crusaders fell 8-7 in nine innings in game one on Friday and would come up short in a 6-5 final in the second matchup. DCC had rallied in the last inning and got the tying run to third, but could not find the key knock.

On Saturday, the Crusaders rallied down 5-1 and would secure a 6-5 final in eight innings. They were unable to repeat that magic fully in the series finale, as ABU scored three times in the eighth to pull off a 14-13 final in a wild overall series.

Stats will be available at a later time.

Another note is the next baseball game for DCC will be at Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie. Due to inclement weather in the forecast on Tuesday, that game will be scheduled for Wednesday at 3 p.m. It is still scheduled as a nine-inning affair.

The DCC family is asking to keep assistant baseball coach Kyle Urias in your thoughts and prayers. His father, Fred Urias passed away a little over a week ago and was remembered over the weekend.
