HUNTSVILLE, TX-- The Dallas Christian College men's basketball team competed against FCS Division I team Sam Houston State on Saturday at the Johnson Coliseum with an attendance total of 1127. This game does not count towards the overall record of the Crusades. SHSU defeated DCC by a score of 111-58. 

As a team the Crusaders shot 21-49 (42%) from the field, 9-21 (42%) from the 3 point line, and 7-9 (77%) from the free-throw line. Joseph Allen scored 13 points and notched 2 rebounds on 4-6 shooting from the field, 2-4 from the three-point line, and 3-3 from the free-throw line.

Jalen Perez had 8 points on 3-8 shooting from the field, and 2-4 shooting from the 3 point line. Jairus Allen scored 5 points on 2-5 shooting from the field. As a team DCC had 7 second chance points, 14 points in the paint, 4 fast break points, and 27 bench points. DCC will face DBU on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.
