FORT WORTH-- THe Dallas Christian College Softball team competed in a double-header on Tuesday afternoon at Sycamore Park against Texas Wesleyan University. The Crusaders lost 9-7 in game 1 and won game 2 12-7.
Game 1: The Crusaders carried a 7-3 lead into the 6th inning, but gave up 6 runs in the bottom of the inning allowing the Rams to complete a 9-7 comeback victory.Â
Georgina Carrillo went 3 for 3 at the plate with 2 home-runs and 3 RBI's.
Kayla Looper went 2 for 4 at the plate and
Erin Thibault went 1 for 3 at the plate with an RBI.
Nizhoni Yellow pitched 6 innings allowing 11 hits, 7 earned runs, and had 3 strikeouts in 38 batters faced. She picked up the loss in the circle moving her season record to 3-2.

Game 2: The Crusaders bounced back in game 2 of the day with a 12-7 victory to improve its overall record to 10-6 on the year.
Kayla Looper went 2 for 1 with 1 RBI.
Erin Thibault had a solid day at the plate going 3 for 4 with 3 RBI's.Â
Laila Robins went 3 for 3 at the plate with 3 RBI.
Jasmine Hernandez improved her season record to 3-0 on the year after 6 innings in the circle with 5 earned runs, and 1 strikeout in 32 batters faced.
Kaylee Brent pitched 1 inning allowing 1 hit and 1 run.
The Crusaders will hit the road on Friday at Central Baptist College.
