MELBOURNE, FLORIDA-- The Dallas Christian College Softball team suffered an 8-7 loss against University of Northwestern Ohio on Tuesday afternoon in extra innings after scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning.
UNOH jumped out to a 6-3 lead after 5 innings of play against the Lady Crusaders. Heading into the last inning DCC trailed by 3 runs. DCC fought hard and forced extra innings after
Erin Thibault launched a rocket to dead center to score 2 runs.
In extra innings UNOH held strong and completed the win 8-7 with the Lady Crusaders leaving 2 runners on base. DCC showed great fight and never gave up.
Georgina Carillo went 4 for 5 with 1 RBI.
Kaylee Brent went 2 for 3.
Erin Thibault went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI's.
Kelsey Cauthron pitched well going 5 innings allowing 4 runs, 3 earned runs, and 3 strikeouts. DCC will be back in action on Thursday at 12:15 p.m. against University of Fort Lauderdale and 2:30 p.m. against Webber International.
