FARMERS BRANCH, TX-- The Dallas Christian College Baseball team hosted Schreiner University in a double-header on Friday afternoon. DCC won game 1 4-2 and lost game 2 1-0.
Game 1- The Crusaders started the bottom of the first inning off with a lead-off double by
AJ Smith.
Jaidon Erivez poked a ball to the right side that got past a diving second-baseman to score Smith to give DCC a 1-0 lead.

Kreed Jones singled to left field to score
Jonas Ledesma to give the Crusaders a 3-0 lead. Neither team was able to gain any momentum offensively as heading into the top of the 5th inning the score was 3-0. Schreiner scored 2 runs in the 5th inning to shrink the lead to 2 runs.
AJ smith drove home an insurance run on a sac-fly to center that scored
Ethan Martinez.
Jonas Ledesma was able to record the last out to secure the save and 4-2 victory.
AJ Smith went 2 for 2 at the plate with 1 RBI and 1 run scored.
Frederick Perry went 2 for 3 with 1 RBI.
Caden Beck pitched 6.2 innings, allowing 11 hits, 2 runs, 5 strikeouts in 30 batters faced.
Jonas Ledesma recorded the save with the last out.
Game 2- Game 2 of the day was a pitching duel as neither team scored in the first five innings of play. The lone run was scored by Blake Juarez in the sixth inning. DCC was not able to plate a run, despite stellar pitching performance.
JD Holiday II pitched 4 innings, allowing 3 hits, no runs, and 2 strikeouts in 18 batters faced.
Trevor Moore pitched 1.2 innings allowing 2 hits and a run, and 2 strikeouts.
Riley Hernandez pitched 1 inning and allowed no hits DCC will be back in action tomorrow at 9 AM against Texas A&M Texarkana and Schreiner University at 2:30 PM.
