BROWNWOOD, TX-- The Dallas Christian College Men's Basketball team suffered a 100-71 loss on the road against Howard Payne University Friday night at the Brownwood Coliseum in the Dallas Huston Classic.
The Crusaders started off strong but were not able to sustain as the Yellow Jackets pulled away in the second half securing a 100-71 victory.
The Crusaders shot 24-61 (39%) from the field, 6-23 (26%) from the three-point line, and 17-27 from the free-throw line. DCC had 9 second chance points, 30 points in the paint, 7 fast-break points, 9 points off turnovers and 42 bench points.
Seth Mays had 11 points and 6 rebounds on 5-8 shooting from the field.
Terius Maxie had 10 points and 6 rebounds on 3-4 shooting from the field. The Crusaders will be back in action tomorrow afternoon against Mcmurry Univesity.
