Box Score GEORGETOWN, TX-- The Dallas Christian College Men's Basketball team finished out its three game stretch with a furious 87-80 comeback win on the road against DIII Southwestern University on Saturday afternoon at the Corbin J Robertson Center.
The Crusaders trailed for most of the game, but hung around and took advantage of timely defense and solid offensive execution to close-out a physical win on the road against a quality NCAA Division III opponent.
DCC shot 31-70 (44%) from the field, 11-31 (35%) from the three-point line, and 14-19 (74%) from the free-throw line. DCC had 9 second chance points, 32 points in the paint, 19 fast-break points, 15 points off turnovers, and 37 bench points.
Carlas Canady had 14 points and 5 rebounds on 5-11 shooting from the field.
Nick Lancit had 12 points on 4-9 shooting from the field.
Grayson Bell had 11 points on 3-7 shooting from the field and 3-6 from the three-point line with 8 of his points coming in the final 2 minutes of the game.
Promise Elem had a solid game off the bench with 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. The Crusaders will look to continue its winning ways on the road against Concordia University tomorrow night at 6 PM.
