HOT SPRINGS, ARKANSAS-- The Dallas Christian College (3-11, 1-0) defeated NCCAA #2 Nationally ranked Campbellsville-Harrodsburg by a score of 98-93 in a frentic-paced game on Tuesday afternoon at Champion Community Center.
The Crusaders jumped out to a 10 point lead early in the first half, but the Pioneers overcame that deficit and snagged a 51-45 lead heading into halftime. In the second half the Crusaders took the lead and never looked back, holding onto a 98-93 victory.
The Crusaders shot 35-72 (48%) from the field, 9-22 (40%) from the three-point line, and 19-26 (73%) from the free-throw line. The Crusaders had 52 points in the paint, 15 second chance points, 16 fast break points, 16 points off turnovers, and 45 bench points. DCC had 34 rebounds, 11 assists, 6 turnovers, 3 blocks, and 6 steals.
The Crusaders had 5 players score in double-digits on an explosive offensive day.
Ny'gel Boozer had 20 points,
Blake Walker knocked down 5 three-pointers, totaling 17 points,
Nick Lancit tallied 10 points,
