FARMER'S BRANCH, TX-- The Dallas Christian College men's basketball team defeated #5 nationally ranked Ozark Christian College on Saturday afternoon by a score of 87-76 with 13 three-pointers propelling the Crusaders to victory.
The Crusaders shot 28-71 (39%) from the field, 13-29 (44%) from the three-point line, and 18-23 (78%) from the free-throw line. DCC had 24 points in the paint, 15 points off of turnovers, 31 bench points, and 7 second chance points.Â
The Crusaders had 38 rebounds, 21 assists, 3, blocks, and 12 steals.
Grayson Bell had 17 points, 3 steals, 1 block, and 2 rebounds on 5-7 shooting from the field, and 4-6 from the three-point line.
Ny'gel Boozer had 14 points and 4 rebounds on 4-14 shooting from the field, and was 4-4 from the free-throw line.
Nick Lancit snagged 13 points on 5-8 shooting from the field and 2-2 from the three-point line.
Blake Walker had 12 points on 4-7 shooting from the three-point line.
Carlas Canady had a stellar day with a team-high 18 points on 5-7 shooting from the field and 8-9 shooting from the free-throw line.
DCC had 5 players score in double-digits and used its balanced offensive attack to sink OCC to pick up a key win. This is the Crusaders second win against a top 5 ranked opponent this season. DCC will face off against Ecclesia College on Tuesday night at 7 PM and look to continue its winning ways.
