DALLAS, TX-- The Dallas Christian College men's basketball team knocked of top 10 NCCAA DII College of Biblical Studies 91-80 in an energetic and fast-paced game. The Crusaders were led by
Blake Walker who led all scorers with 24 points.
The first half was very even as neither team could create separation from each other. Both teams offensive prowess was in full effect as the score was 40-40 after 1 half of play. In the second half, the Crusaders continued its offensive dominance with 51 points to secure a 91-80 victory over CBS.
DCC had 5 players in double figures offensively.
Blake Walker had 24 points on 5-5 shooting from the three-point line and 9-9 shooting from the free-throw line.
Yuot Gai had another double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds on 6-16 shooting from the field,
Ny'gel Boozer had 11 points and 6 assists on 5-16 shooting from the field.
DJ Smith had another dominant night off the bench with 19 points on 7-8 shooting from the field, and 4-5 shooting from the three-point line.
Nico Matheus had 11 points on 4-8 shooting from the field.
DCC shot 31-65 (47%) from the field, 13-3- (43%) from the three-point line, and 16-18 (88%) from the free-throw line. DCC had 34 points in the paint, 7 second chance points, 37 points off the bench, and 15 points off turnovers. The Crusaders will carry its three game winning streak into a conference matchup against crosstown rival Arlington Baptist on Tuesday, January 16 at 7 p.m.
