DALLAS, TX-- The Dallas Christian College Baseball team continued its stellar play on Saturday afternoon at Glenda and Denny Dixon Field with 2 wins to complete the sweep against Randall University. DCC scored 4 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to score to seal a 7-3 victory in the first game of the day. The Crusaders exploded for 17 runs in the second game to secure the sweep.
Game 1:
Derek Lewis pitched his fourth straight complete game and bounced back from a 2 run first inning to help his team pick up the win. Lewis went 7 innings, allowing 6 hits, 3 runs, 3 walks, and recorded 7 strikeouts.
Jaidon Erivez went 1 for 3 with 2 RBI's and 2 runs scored.
Cooper Ness went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's and 1 run scored.
Joel Stone recorded a hit, an RBI, and 2 walks. DCC totaled 8 hits, 6 RBI's, and 7 walks.Â
Game 2: The Crusaders looked to close out the series with a sweep and keep the winning streak alive. The Crusaders scored 12 runs in the fourth inning to grab momentum of the game.
Jaidon Erivez had a big day at the plate with 2 hits, 2 RBI's, and 3 runs scored.
Stefon Reyes went 2 for 4 with 3 RBI's and 2 runs scored.
Brandon Andrews went 2 for 4 with 2 hits, 2 runs scored, and 3 RBI's. Zach Andrews went 7 innings allowing 2 hits, 1 runs, 2 walks, and recorded 10 strikeouts. The Crusaders will host Arlington Baptist next weekend on Senior Day.
