SPRINGDALE, ARKANSAS-- The Dallas Christian College Baseball team completed a four game sweep of Ecclesia College with a 4-2 victory and a 7-2 victory on Saturday afternoon to extend the win streak for the Crusaders to four games. DCC is playing solid, all around baseball and is peaking at the right time.
Game 1:
Brandon Andrews blasted his 11th homerun of the season and third of the series in the first inning to give DCC a 1-0 lead. Manny Valenzuela blasted a 2-run homerun in the sixth inning to extend the lead to 3-1. Andrews picked up his second RBI of the day with an important single to extend the lead to 4-2.
Derek Lewis pitched 7 innings, allowing 3 hits, 2 runs, and recorded 8 strikeouts. This is his third straight complete game.
Derek Lewis is pitching well at the right time for the Crusaders.
Brandon Andrews went 2 for 3 with a homerun, a single, and 2 RBI's/ Manny Valenzuela went 2 for 3 with a homerun and 2 RBI's.

Ecclesia evened the game up at 2 with a homerun in the third inning.
Derek Lewis hit a clutch, go ahead, three-run homerun to give DCC a 5-2 lead.
BG Santana scored a run on an error in the sixth inning and
Derek Lewis hit an RBI double in the seventh inning to extend the lead to 7-2.
Zachary Andrews pitched 4.1 innings, allowing 6 hits, 2 runs, and recorded 7 strikeouts in 23 batters faced.
Andrew Hickey pitched 2.2 innings allowing 1 hit, no runs, and recorded a strikeout.
Derek Lewis went 2 for 4 with 4 RBI's and a homerun. The Crusaders will host Randal on Friday, April 21 at 1 p.m.
