DALLAS, TX-- The Dallas Christian College women's basketball team stifled Southwestern Adventist University at home on Thursday night with a truly dominant 97-56 victory against the Lady Knights.
The Lady Crusaders outscored SWAU 28-7 in the second quarter, which was ultimately the jolt of energy that electrified the Lady Crusaders to a 41 point victory. DCC shot 39-79 (49%) from the field, 10-20 (50%) from the three-point line, and 9-11 (81%) from the free-throw line. The Lady Crusaders had 15 second-chance points, 8 points in the paint, 23 bench points, and 55 points off Turnovers.
Rakia Lee had 20 points and 4 rebounds on 7-19 shooting from the field.
Amber Covington had 18 points and 9 rebounds on 8-11 shooting from the field.
Naiya Brown had 17 points, 6 assists, and 3 rebounds on 8-15 shooting from the field.
Yvonne Fuerte had 15 points on 5-9 shooting from the field.
Mckayla Washington had 10 points on 4-7 shooting from the field. The Lady Crusaders will look to continue its stellar play tomorrow against Ecclesia at 3 p.m. at home.
