ARLINGTON, TX-- The Dallas Christian College women's basketball team suffered a 104-79 loss on the road in an NCCAA Southwest Division II Region matchup on Tuesday evening.
The Lady Crusaders hung tough in the first half and were able to only be down 22-20 after one quarter of play. ABU was able to get an offensive rhythm going and never looked back. The Patriots pulled out the home conference victory on the road by a score of 104-79.
The Lady Crusaders shot 29-56 (51%) from the field, 4-11 (36%) from the three-point line, and 17-26 (65%) from the free-throw line. DCC had 6 second chance points, 38 points in the paint, 20 bench points, 4 Fast-break points, and 16 points off turnovers.
Rakia Lee continued her hot scoring streak with 19 points and 2 rebounds on 7-14 shooting from the field.
Amber Covington notched a double-double with 17 points, and 12 rebounds on 6-9 shooting from the field.
Naiya Brown had 14 points on 6-13 shooting from the field.
Mckayla Washington had 14 points and 3 rebounds on 4-9 shooting from the field. The Lady Crusaders will be back home on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 2:30 p.m. for a matchup against Champion Christian College.
