DALLAS TX-- The Dallas Christian College women's volleyball team lost in four sets against Division 3 opponent University of Dallas.
UD won the first set 25-19 after holding off the tough push by DCC at the end of the set. In the second set, the Lady Crusaders edged out UD in a tough second set with an impressive 25-23 victory to tie the game at one set a piece.
In the third set, UD took control early and never looked back with a stifling 26-11 victory to swing the momentum to their side. Heading into the fourth set, UD just needed one more set to complete a victory against DCC.
In the final set, DCC did not give up and went on a rally with five straight points to cut the deficit to 19-15, however UD was able to push through and get a 3-1 victory over DCC.
The Lady Crusaders had 47 points, 36 kills, 8 Aces, 3 blocks, 27 assists, and 48 digs. Mckenna Ramsey had 8 kills,
Rae Leano had 5 Aces,
Christen Downey led the team in blocks,
Hannah Gallegos led the team with 12 assists, and
Rae Leano led the team with 12 digs.
The Lady Crusaders will be back at home on Saturday at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. against Randall University and St. Thomas.
