DALLAS, TX-- The Dallas Christian College women's basketball team suffered a 79-53 loss against Cedar Valley College on Thursday evening.
The Lady Crusaders fought hard in the first half and trailed 18-10 after one quarter of play. CVC scored 17 points in the second quarter to extend its lead to 35-24 at the half-time break.Â
DCC was not able to overcome the deficit as the Lady Crusaders suffered a 79-53 loss. The Lady Crusaders continued to compete and were able to battle through adversity.
DCC went 23-56 (41%) from the field, 3-9 (33%) from the 3 point line, and 4-8 (50%) from the free-throw line.
Rakia Lee led the Lady Crusaders with 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 assist on 8-16 shooting from the field, and 1-2 from the 3 point line.
Yvonnee Fuerte scored 11 points on 5-13 from the field.
Naiya Brown scored 10 points on 4-10 shooting from the field. The Lady Crusaders will be on the road Saturday, December 10 at Cisco College.Â
