WICHITA FALLS, TX-- The Dallas Christian College women's basketball team suffered an 83-43 loss on the road against Division II opponent Midwestern State on Monday evening.
The Lady Crusaders fought hard in the first quarter as MSU only held a 21-15 ead after one quarter of play. The Mustangs were able to use stout defense to secure an 83-43 victory at home.
DCC shot 19-63 (30%) from the field, 3-11 (27%) from the three-point line, and 2-8 (25%) from the free-throw line. The Lady Crusaders had 3 second chance points, 26 points in the paint, 15 fast-break points,12 points off turnovers, and 12 bench points.Â
Naiya Brown scored 14 points and had 10 rebounds on 3-5 shooting from the 3 point line.
Rakia Lee had 10 points on 5-17 shooting from the field. DCC will take a 12 day break and be back home on New Year's Eve against Texas A&M Texarkana at 12 p.m.
