CHICKASHA, OK-- The Dallas Christian College women's basketball (0-2) team suffered an 87-42 loss on the road against the University of Science and Arts (3-0).
USAO snagged an early ten point lead with a fast start in the first quarter, after 10 minutes of play the Drovers led 20-10. USAO continued its momentum heading into the second half by building its lead to 40-17 at the break.
DCC continued to battle hard, but it was not enough to overcome a quick barrage of baskets from USAO. The Lady Crusaders lost 87-42.
Amber Covington led DCC with 15 points, 3 assists, and 3 assists on 7-11 shooting from the field.
Keiarra Rivers snatched 9 rebounds and scored 7 points in 26 minutes. Rivers leads the team in rebounds, averaging 12.5 per game.
DCC will continue its road-trip in Oklahoma with a quick turnaround game against Southwestern Christian University tomorrow afternoon.
