GEORGETOWN, TX-- The Dallas Christian College women's basketball team suffered a 63-45 loss on the road at the Robertson Center on Wednesday evening against Southwestern College.
Southwestern started the game off strong in the first quarter, outscoring DCC 13-5 in the first quarter. DCC battled hard in the second quarter scoring 8 points. The Pirates took a 26-13 lead into the halftime break.
Southwestern continued its impressive play with a 23 point fourth quarter to put the game out of reach. DCC battled hard, but was not able to overcome the deficit as the Pirates won 63-45.
DCC shot 15-62 (24%) from the field, 7-24 (29%) from the 3 point line, and 8-16 (50%) from the free-throw line.Â
Rakia Lee had a team-high 19 points and 5 rebounds on 7-18 shooting from the field.
Naiya Brown scored 11 points on 4-13 shooting and also had 5 rebounds. The Lady Crusaders will be back home on Thursday, December 8 at 6 p.m.
