DALLAS, TX-- The Dallas Christian College women's basketball team suffered a 76-64 loss on Monday evening against the Texas College Lady Steers after having an 8 point lead in the first quarter.
DCC jumped out to a hot start taking a 24-16 lead after 10 minutes of play. TC battled back with a 21 point second quarter to take a 37-36 lead heading into halftime. In the second half, Texas College pulled away with a 76-64 victory to defeat the Lady Crusaders for the second time this season.
Keiarra Rivers scored 17 points, and 7 rebounds on 7-14 shooting from the field. Amber Covington scored 9 points, and snagged 9 rebounds on 4-8 of shooting from the field. Naiya Brown scored 12 points and snagged 3 rebounds on 5-9 shooting from the field.
As a team, DCC shot 25-54 (46.3%) from the field, 1-16 (6.3%) from the 3 PT line, and 9-13 (69.2%) from the FT line. DCC will travel to Laredo, Texas to take on Texas A&M International on Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 6 p.m.
