DALLAS, TX-- The Dallas Christian College women's basketball team (0-3) suffered a 92-44 loss against LSU-Shreveport on Friday afternoon.
The Lady Crusaders went down early as the Lady Pilots outscored DCC 23-11 in the opening period of play. In the second quarter DCC held LSUS to only 16 points, but only scored 7 points due to the interior size the Pilots displayed. After one half of play LSUS led 39-18.
In the second half, LSUS outscored DCC 53-26 to secure a 92-44 victory.
Keiarra Rivers scored a team-high 12 points, and snagged 4 rebounds on 5-14 shooting from the field. Amber Covington had a stat line of 7 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists.
Mckayla Washington scored 7 points off the bench on 50 percent shooting.
As a team DCC shot 18-59 (30%) from the field, 2-10 (20%) from the 3 PT line, and 6-12(50%) from the FT line. The Lady Crusaders notched 4 second chance points, and 13 bench points. DCC will travel to Tyler, Texas on Monday, Nov. 14 to face Texas College at 5:30 p.m.
