SPRINGDALE, Ark. – The Dallas Christian College baseball team opened regional play this past weekend with a four-game series at Ecclesia College. The Crusaders competed in all contests, but were downed 3-1 despite being outscored by three or less in each of the losses. Two were on the Royals scoring in their final at bat.

After dropping the opening game in the seventh, 6-5, on a home run, DCC leveled the series with a 6-1 victory. In Saturday's twinbill, DCC fell 5-2 and got walked off on a 3-2 final score.

Dallas Christian hosts Southwestern Assemblies of God University on Tuesday at 3 p.m. The team then goes off to Randall University on April 2-3. The next time DCC is home for a weekend series will be on Apr. 9-10 against Arlington Baptist University.
