JOPLIN, Mo. – The Dallas Christian College volleyball team opened the ACCA Tournament with a 3-0 victory over Trinity Bible College on Wednesday evening. DCC prevailed in the sets 25-16, 25-16, and 25-9.
Lauren Baker was the individual leader for kills with 11 and hit .500, as she did not make an error and took 22 attempts.
Christen Downey followed with six kills, while
Elizabeth Morrow added five.
Hannah Gallegos posted 14 assists with
Kelly Graves eclipsing double-digits with 10 from the bench.
Caitlyn Yablon was able to garner 15 digs.
Madelyn Guerrero and
Raezellejace Leano each had two service aces, as the team had seven total.
The Crusaders compiled 38 kills with double figures in all three frames. They also hit a .272 percent clip. This was a great match to give everyone reps, as all 18 players appeared in a set.
DCC (16-10) won its season-high fourth straight match with all coming in a postseason play. The Crusaders will play the other opponent in their pool on Thursday with it being the host school Ozark Christian College. First serve is at 3 p.m.
