Box Score ARLINGTON, Texas – The Dallas Christian College men's basketball team was topped 90-77 at Arlington Baptist University on Tuesday night. An 18-point halftime deficit was too much for the Crusaders to overcome.
Tilyr Hobson surpassed his previous season-high in points with 26 to lead all players. He matched his rebound-high from Saturday versus Ecclesia College with 13. It was another double-double for the junior, as he shot a sizzling 12-for-16 from the field to go with an assist and steal.
Nick Erves was 5-for-9 shooting with a 3-for-5 effort from the three-point line. His 14 points were second, and Jordan Chambers and Reggie Daniels rounded out the double-digit scoring quartet with 11 apiece.
Daniels chipped in eight rebounds. DCC shot 42.6 percent from the field but were cold from deep going 26.1 percent. The Crusaders were outdone in assists by 10 (22-12).
The Patriots were led by Trey Ballard, Tra Mallard, Da'vionne Stafford, and Sheldon Hodge in points with 22, 20, 18, and 17, respectively.
Dallas Christian has moved its exhibition game with UNT-Dallas from this Saturday to February 11. Instead the Crusaders will play another exhibition at Texas Wesleyan University at 12 p.m.
