FARMERS BRANCH, TX-- The Dallas Christian College Women's Softball team split a DH against University of Dallas on Wednesday afternoon at Oran Good Park. The Crusaders won game 1 9-1 and lost game 2 6-3.
Game 1: The Crusaders won the first game in dominant fashion, scoring 8 runs in the first 2 innings to lead its team to a 9-1 victory.
Kaylee Brent pitched 3 innings, allowing 5 hits, no runs and a strikeout.
Jasmine Hernandez pitched 2 innings allowing 2 hits, 1 run in 8 batters faced.
Kayla Looper went 3 for 4 at the plate with 2 RBI's.
Georgina Carrillo went 1 for 3 at the plate with 2 RBI's.Â
Game 2: The Crusaders lost game 2 6-2 in a close game until UD pulled away in the fifth inning.
Nizhoni Yellow pitched 6 innings, 7 hits, allowing 2 earned runs in 31 batters faced.
Kayla Looper went 2 for 3 at the plate with 1 RBI.
Lia Rojas went 3 for 4 with 1 RBI.
The Crusaders will be back at home Friday April 17 and Saturday April 18 against Hesston College.
