FARMERS BRANCH, TX-- The Dallas Christian College men's basketball team picked up its first Southwest Region victory on Saturday afternoon with a 101-93 victory against Randall University.
The Crusaders built up a 23 point lead and were able to hold off a late charge by the Saints to secure a 101-93 victory.
The Crusaders shot 33-68 (48%) from the field, 9-21 (43%) from the three-point line, and 26-40 (65%) from the free-throw line. DCC had 11 second chance points, 24 points in the paint, 38 bench points, and 17 turnovers.
Carlas Canady had 20 points, 3 steals, 5 assists, and 7 rebounds.
Nick Lancit had 15 points on 5-9 shooting from the field.
Seth Mays had 13 points and was 9-13 from the free-throw line.
Ayo Awoyomi had 10 points on 4-8 shooting from the field.
Michael McLeod had 12 points on 4-7 shooting from the field.
Promise Elem had 9 points and 3 rebounds.
Terius Maxie had 9 points on 4-6 shooting from the field. The Crusaders had 5 players in double-digit scoring.
DCC will be back in action against College of Biblical Studies on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.
