FARMERS BRANCH, TX-- The Dallas Christian College Men's soccer team suffered a 4-1 loss at home against Ave Maria University on Monday morning after digging an early hole, they were not able to overcome deficit.
The Crusaders played strong in the first 30 minutes, b ut gave up a goal in the 33rd minute putting themselves in an early hole. DCC punched back to tie the game with a goal by
Luis Delgado in the 65th minute. Ave Maria responded with 3 goals in the last 25 minutes to secure the road victory.
The Crusaders had 28 shots (14 on goal), 12 saves by GK
Cristiano Castillo, 7 corner kicks, and 6 fouls. DCC just was not able to overcome early goals, and had a lot of shots, just was not able to find the back of net.Â
The Crusaders will look to bounce back on Wednesday against Texas Wesleyan University on Wednesday night at 7:30.
