FARMERS BRANCH, TX-- The Dallas Christian College men's soccer team (0-1) suffered a 3-0 loss against Penscola Christian College (2-0) on Saturday afternoon in the season opener at Dallas Christian College for the Inaugural White-Out game. 

The Crusaders opened up the season with a huge crowd showing its support. Pensacola Christian scored a goal on a breakaway steal by Jackson Clarke in the first half in the first five minutes, jumping out to an early lead.

DCC had multiple opportunities early, but were not able to capitalize on multiple balls played into the box including a nice header that was saved by the goalie. For the rest of the first-half neither team scored until a foul that occurred in the last 10 seconds, which the Eagles converted to a goal on a free-kick by Samir Vieira Siqueira.

At half-time, Pensacola Christian carried a 2-0 lead. The Crusaders applied pressure in the second half with a plethora of attacking opportunities including multiple shots that knocked off the top of the cross-bar.

Neither team was able to score a goal in the second half until a foul in the box resulted in a PK goal by Odanci Ndayisaba. The Crusaders fought hard but ultimately dropped the season opener. THe Crusaders will look to build momentum to bounce back on Saturday, August 30 against LeTourneau University at 7 PM.
