KANSAS CITY, KS-- The Dallas Christian College Softball team had a stellar day offensively plating 46 runs in two game series sweep against Kansas Christian College. The Lady Crusaders won game 1 23-9 and won game 2 23-1.
Game 1- The Lady Crusaders entered the fourth inning trailing 9-8. That did not last long as DCC scored 15 runs in the final 2 innings to cap off an impressive offensive performance to close game 1 out.
Kyleigh Lewis went 2 for 4 with an RBI.
Morgan Frost went 2 for 5 with 4 runs scored.
Kaylee Brent went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI's. Georgina Carillo went 1 for 1 with 1 RBI and 3 runs scored.
Erin Thibault 2 for 3 with 3 RBI's.
Julissa Amparo went 2 for 4 with 4 RBI's.
Jaelin Cox went 1 for 1 with a home-run.
Kelsey Cauthron pitched 2 innings allowing 4 hits, 9 runs, 1 earned run, and 2 strikeouts in 16 batters faced.
Toni Meyer picked up the win, pitching 3 innings allowing no runs.Â
Game 2-Â The Lady Crusaders dominated this game from start to finish, scoring 13 runs in the first inning setting the tone for the rest of the game.Â
Kyleigh Lewis went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI's and 2 runs scored.
Morgan Frost went 3 for 4 with 1 RBI.
Miranda Salinas went 1 for 2 with a home-run and 2 RBI's.
Valerie Vela went 2 for 5 with 3 RBI's.
Alexis Pedroza went 3 for 3 with 2 RBI's.
Toni Meyer hit a 3 run home-run.Â
Nizhoni Yellow pitched 2 innings, allowing 1 run.
Hannah Mattingley picked up her first win of the year pitching 1 inning and 1 strikeout.
