FARMERS BRANCH, TX-- FARMERS BRANCH, TX-- The Dallas Christian College Softball team hosted Ecclesia College for a triple-header on Friday afternoon at Oran Good Park on Senior Day, where three seniors:
Autumn Minyard,
Alexis Pedroza, and
Hannah Mattingley. The Lady Crusaders dropped game 1 15-8, won game 2 14-11, and won game 3 17-4.
Game 1: The Lady Crusaders dropped game 1 15-8 and were not able to overcome a 7 run second inning by Ecclesia College. DCC scored 5 runs in the third inning, but gave up 6 runs in the top of the 6th inning and were not able to complete the comeback attempt as the Lady Crusaders dropped game 1.
Kaylee Brent went 3 for 4 with 3 RBI's.
Erin Thibault went 3 for 4 with 3 RBI's and a home-run.
Laila Robins went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's and a home-run.
Game 2: The Dallas Christian College Lady Crusaders overcame 7 run deficit in 2nd game to,come back and secure a 14-11 victory. DCC scored 5 runs in the second inning, 5 in the 5th, and 6 in the 6th to secure the win.
Kyleigh Lewis went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI's. Georgina Carillo went 2 for 3 with 5 RBI's.
Kaylee Brent went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's.
Autumn Minyard picked up the win pitching 6 innings allowing 7 runs, 2 earned runs, and 4 strikeouts.
Game 3- The Lady Crusaders took the rubber match of the series with an emphatic 17-4 victory in the final game of series. DCC did its damage in the 3rd and 4th innings scoring 15 runs.
Kyleigh Lewis went 3 for 4 with 2 home-runs and 5 RBI's.
Kaylee Brent went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI's.
Laila Robins went 3 for 4 with 3 RBI's.
Kaylee Brent pitched 5 innings allowing 6 hits 4 runs, and 2 strikeouts in 23 batters faced.
The Lady Crusaders will face Huston Tillotson on the road on Friday afternoon.
