FARMERS BRANCH, TX-- The Dallas Christian College Softball team completed a two-game sweep of Arlington Baptist University on Tuesday afternoon at Oran Good Park. DCC took game 1 13-2 and won game 2 8-3.
Game 1- The Lady Crusaders offense exploded in game 1 for 13 runs to complete a 5 inning run rule. DCC also was provided a stellar performance in the circle by
Kelsey Cauthron who picked up the win.
Lia Rojas went 2 for 3 at the plate with 2 hits and 2 RBI's.
Kaylee Brent went 2 for 3 with 3 RBI's.
Laila Robins went 2 for 3 at the plate with 7 RBI's and a grand slam.
Kelsey Cauthron pitched 4 innings allowing 3 hits, no runs, no earned runs, 4 strikeouts in 17 batters faced.
Game 2- Dallas Christian pulled out a victory in game 2 of the day with a 5 run bottom of the 6th inning to create a deficit for ABU.
Georgina Carillo went 2 for 4 with 1 RBI and a solo home-run.
Laila Robins went 2 for 2 with 2 RBI's in game 2.
Erin Thibault went 3 for 3 at the plate.
Toni Meyer pitched 3.1 innings allowing 1 run, no earned runs, 3 walks in 14 batters faced. The Lady Crusaders will be back in action on Saturday against Howard Payne University.
