WAXAHACHIE, TX-- The Dallas Christian College Men's Basketball team suffered an 88-66 loss on Thursday evening against Nelson University on the road at Schaeffer Center.
The Crusaders fought hard in the first half and kept the game within 7 points until a three-pointer banked in off the backboard to give the Lions a 10 point lead heading into halftime.
From that point on Nelson University took control of the game propelling itself to a 88-66 victory over DCC.
As a team DCC shot 23-64 (36%) from the field, 8-23 (35%) from the three-point line, and 12-17 (70%) from the free-throw line. DCC had 10 second chance points, 28 points in the paint, 17 points off turnovers, and 25 bench points
Seth Mays had a team-high 12 points and 9 rebounds.
Nick Lancit had 11 points,
Grayson Bell had 10 points, and
Charles Okoro had 8 points off the bench.
THe Crusaders will look to bounce back against Central Baptist College tomorrow night.
