Box Score OKLAHOMA CITY-- The Dallas Christian College Men's Soccer team defeated Ecclesia College in an OT thriller on a goal blasted into the back of the net by David Rivas on Monday afternoon to advance to the NCCAA Central Region Semi-final against Mid-America Christian University.

The game was suspended on Friday night due to issues with lights at the venue. The score was tied at 2 with 12 minutes left in the game when play was suspended. Both teams agreed to pick up play on neutral ground at South Lakes Soccer Complex.

Neither team was able to score in regulation, so the game went in to OT. 10 minutes were played in the first OT, and both teams back ends played stifling defense. In the second OT period, DCC kept playing tough and broke through with the game-winning goal on a screamer of a shot by David Rivas with 30 seconds left in the game.

Aldo Gomez scored a goal on a penalty kick, Anthony Tranquilino scored on a corner kick that was loose in the box. The Crusaders will play in the NCCAA Central Region semi-final against Mid-American Christian University at 3 PM.
