LAUREL, MS-- The Dallas Christian College men's basketball team had a successful road trip to Mississippi with a 109-72 victory against Southeastern Baptist College on Saturday afternoon in a balanced game offensively.
The Crusaders grasped control of the game, never looking back with 6 players scoring 10 points or more on the way to a 37 point victory on the road.
As a team, DCC shot 37-67 (55%) from the field, 11-24 (46%) from the three-point line, and 24-33 (72%) from the free-throw line. DCC had 15 second chance points, 52 points in the paint, 40 points off turnovers, and 49 bench points.
Charles Okoro had a solid performance with a team-high 19 points and 6 rebounds shot 8-13 from the field and 3-6 from the three-point line.
Ayo Awoyomi had a near double-double with 15 points and 9 rebounds on 5-10 shooting from the field.Â
Nick Lancit had 11 points and 2 assists.
Promise Elem had 13 points on 4-8 shooting from the field, and 2-3 from the three-point line.
Aydan Horn-Reese had 11 points off the bench and
Terius Maxie had 10 points and 4 rebounds.
The Crusaders will be back in action on Tuesday afternoon against Ouachita Baptist on Tuesday night at 7 PM.
