HOUSTON, TX-- The Dallas Christian College women's basketball team (6-8, 3-1) continued its stellar play on Saturday afternoon with an 81-29 win over College of Biblical Studies to move to 3-1 in conference play.
The Lady Crusaders dominated from start to finish outscoring CBS by 8 or more points each quarter, totaling an 81-29 victory in the team's most complete performance of the year. DCC shot 34-83 (41%) from the field, 3-15 (20%) from the three-point line, and 10-16 (62%) from the free-throw line.
DCC scored 62 points in the paint, 20 second chance points, 41 bench points, and 31 points off turnovers. DCC had 64 rebounds, 25 assists, 17 turnovers, 2 blocks, and a season high 20 steals.
Atiana Cook had a stellar game with 16 points, 5 steals, 3 assists, and 5 rebounds on 70% shooting from the field.
Jaden Mitchell had a near double-double with 11 points and 9 rebounds.
Myah Coleman had 12 points and
Nayeli Espinosa had 4 steals. The Lady Crusaders are winners of 3 out of its last 4 games and will look to continue its stellar play on Tuesday afternoon with a huge home game coming up against Arlington Baptist on Tuesday evening at 5 p.m.
