HOUSTON, TX-- The Dallas Christian College men's basketball team (4-13, 2-2) defeated College of Biblical Studies 92-79 on Saturday afternoon in a Southwest Regional match-up.
The Crusaders grasped the lead early and never looked back. DCC scored 50 points in the second half leading to a dominant 92-79 victory on the road.
DCC shot 37-74 (50%) from the field, 10-25 (40%) from the three-point line, and 8-9 (88%) from the free-throw line. DCC had 18 second chance points, 48 points in the paint, 21 points off turnovers, and 45 bench points.Â
DCC had 42 rebounds, 17 assists, 19 turnovers, 5 blocks, and 16 steals.
Ny'gel Boozer led the team with 24 points, 4 steals, and 7 rebounds.
Nick Lancit tallied 10 points and 2 assists.
Rich Thomas had 12 points on 5-9 shooting from the field.
Jacobee Giles had 9 points and 5 rebounds off the bench and
Carlas Canady had 8 points and 3 assists off the bench.
The Crusaders will look to continue its winning play on Tuesday night in a huge conference match-up against Arlington Baptist at 7 PM.
