CLEREMONT, FLORIDA-- The Dallas Christian College Softball team (6-11) defeated Suny-Cobleskill 12-4 on Monday afternoon in its first game of the Spring Games tournament. The Lady Crusaders offense exploded for 11 runs in the second inning to secure the win.
After giving up 2 runs in the first inning, the Lady Crusaders exploded for 11 runs in the second inning to propel them to a controlling lead of 12-2. It started with an
Emma Leraas single, and then a base clearing triple by
Allyse Leija.
Aubrey Graham pitched well and secured the win on the bump going 3 innings allowing 2 runs and recorded 3 strikeouts.
Autumn Minyard pitched the last 2 innings and allowed 2 earned runs.
The DCC offense tallied 12 runs on 12 hits.
Allyse Leija went 2 for 3 with 2 triples and an RBI.
Hanna Roye went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI's.
Felicitas Figueroa 3 for 4 with a homerun and 2 RBI's. The Lady Crusaders will take on University of Northwestern Ohio in its next game of the day.
