FARMER'S BRANCH, TX-- The Dallas Christian College Lady Crusaders dominated on Friday afternoon, etching its first win of the season with a 3-0 sweep (25-14, 25-21, and 25-20 against) Southwestern Adventist University.
The Lady Crusaders took control from the beginning of the match with a 25-14 win in game 1. DCC continued its winning ways in set 2 with a 25-21 victory, they were able to hold off a late charge from the Lady Knights. In set 3 the Lady Crusaders closed out the match with a 25-21 victory.
Zoelley Herrera led the Lady Crusaders with 11 kills,
Bailey Whitten had 10 kills, and
Brooklyn Ramey-Halkyard had 8 kills.
Alyssa Carreras led the Lady Crusaders with 2 Aces,
Brooklyn Ramey-Halkyard had 2 Aces, and
Zoelley Herrera had 2 Aces.
Alyssa Carreras led the team with 23 digs,
Brooklyn Ramey-Halkyard had 9 digs, and
Bailey Whitten had 9 digs.
The lady Crusaders will be back in action on October 16 looking to continue its winning ways against Paul Quinn College.
