TEXARKANA, TX-- The Dallas Christian College Crusaders faced off against Texas A&M Texarkana on Tuesday afternoon on the road and defeated the Eagles by a score of 83-75 for its third win in its last four games.
The Crusaders started the game with 7 3 pointers and jumped out to a 21-4 lead in the first six minutes of the game. The Eagles battled back and evened the game up at 45 heading into halftime. In the second half, DCC came out scorching hot and took the lead and never looked back. The Crusaders outscored the Eagles 38-30 in the second half to propel it to an 83-75 victory against NAIA Texas A&M Texarkana.
The Crusaders were led by another double-double from
Yuot Gai. Gai had 22 points and 10 rebounds and was 8-11 from the field.
Blake Walker scored a season-high 19 points and also had 2 assists and 2 rebounds.
Joseph Gipson had 12 points on 4-6 shooting from the three-point line, all of his points came from beyond the arc.
Ny'gel Boozer had 11 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds.Â
DCC had 18 points in the paint, 4 second chance points, 19 bench points, and 5 points off turnovers. The Crusaders shot 28-57 (49%) from the field, 17-35 (48%) from the three-point line, and 10-17 (58%) from the free-throw line. DCC will face off against Division I Louisiana Tech tonight at 6 p.m. in Ruston, Louisiana.
