KERRVILLE, TX-- The Dallas Christian College Men's Soccer team lost 4-3 on Sunday afternoon in a highly-competitive matchup against Schreiner University on the road.
After going down 1-0 in the 33rd minute
Kevin Melendez scored the equalizing goal. After one half of play the game was tied at 1. Schreiner opened up the second half with two goals to take a 3-1 lead. The Crusaders continued to battle and cut the deficit to 3-2 after a goal by
Francisco Govea.
Schreiner responded with a goal 8 minutes later to extend the lead to 4-2. DCC did not give up as
Cris Perez scored his first goal of the season to make the score 4-3 with 6 minutes remaining in the game.
DCC dominated with 21 total shots and 9 shots on goal. Goal-keeper
Alexis Hernandez had 7 saves. The Crusaders will be on the road on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m.
