DALLAS, TX-- The Dallas Christian College Volleyball team defeated Champion Christian College in three sets (25-17, 25-15, 25-11) on Wednesday night. THe Lady Crusaders now have 3 wins in regional play.
DCC played well in the three set sweep and won each set by 8 points or more. As a team the Lady Crusaders had 49 points, 37 kills, 11 Aces, 1 block, 30 assists, and 58 digs.Â
Statistically the Lady Crusaders were led by the Freshman
Bailey Whitten, who had 8 kills.
Zaybrie Huerta had 7 kills, and
Makenna Rambo had 6 kills.
Alyssa Carreras led the team with 4 Aces,
Megan Ross had 3 Aces, and
Olivia Withers has 1 Ace.
Alexis Smith had 1 block.
The DCC All-time assists leader
Hannah Gallegos added to her total with 22 assists.
Olivia Withers had 3 assists, and
Bailey Whitten had 3 assists.
Alyssa Carreras had 10 digs,
Hannah Gallegos had 10 digs, and
Olivia Withers had 7 digs. The Lady Crusaders will take a 6 day break and host Paul Quinn College on Tuesday, Sep. 26 at 6 p.m.Â
