DALLAS, TX--The Dallas Christian College Men's basketball team held off a fierce comeback attempt by SWAU with four late free-throws to propel the Crusaders to an 81-77 victory at home on Thursday night in a conference matchup to secure the Crusaders second place in the Southwest Region.
The Crusaders were able to use stifling defense and tough rebounding to hold off the late comeback push from the Knights and secure an 81-77 victory. DCC shot 29-57 (50%) from the field, 9-20 (45%) from the three-point line, and 14-16 (87%) from the free-throw line.
DCC had 35 rebounds, 18 assists, and 15 turnovers.
Taro Ford was electric on the offensive end with 26 points on 5-8 from the three-point line.
Tyjuan Battles scored 17 points on 5-9 shooting from the field and 3-5 from the three-point line. The Allen brothers combined for 15 rebounds getting the tough loose-balls that really made a difference in the game. The Crusaders will hit the road to Ecclesia on Tuesday.
