DALLAS, TX-- The Dallas Christian College men's basketball team exploded for 58 points in the second half en route to a comeback victory on senior night against Arlington Baptist University on Friday night. The 7 seniors honored were Tilly Hobson, Ty Battles, Eli Barth, Caleb WIllis,
Jalen Perez,
Jairus Allen, and
Taro Ford.
The Crusaders trailed by 10 points at the break. In the second half DCC used the momentum of the crowd and made big plays down the stretch to seal the deal. DCC shot 38-70 (54%) from the field, 8-20Â (40%) from the three-point line, and 20-28 (71%) from the free-throw line. DCC had 14 second chance points, 56 points in the paint, and 25 points off turnovers.
Jairus Allen led the charge for the Crusaders with 33 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Tyjuan Battles had 21 points, 1 assist, and 7 rebounds.
Caleb Willis had 13 points off the bench and shot 5-5 from the free-throw line.
Joseph Allen captured a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Taro Ford had 11 points and 6 rebounds. THe Crusaders end regular season play in second place heading into the regional tournament, which will take place next week from Feb. 22-25.Â
