DALLAS, TX-- The Dallas Christian College Baseball team split a DH against Park University on Friday afternoon at Glenda & Denny Dixon Field. The Crusaders snatched a 3-2 victory in the first game with a phenomenal pitching performance from
Bryce Garza. Garza pitched a complete game giving up 2 earned runs and 6 hits. Park University snatched a 13-7 victory in game 2.
Game 1: DCC was led by a masterful performance on the mound by
Bryce Garza. Garza pitched 7 innings, giving up 6 hits, 2 earned runs and capturing 6Â strike outs.
Cooper Ness had 2 RBI's and
Zachary Andrews blasted a base clearing triple to score what would end up being the game-winning run. Manny Valenzuela went 2 for 3 at the plate and
Derek Lewis went 1 for 2.Â
Game 2: This game was very different from the first game of the day, which was low-scoring. Each team scored 5 runs in the first inning. DCC only scored 2 runs in the final 6 innings of the game.
Jaidon Erivez went 2 for 3 with 2 hits and a walk. The Crusaders will be back at home at 12 and 2:30 p.m. tomorrow against Park University.
