ABILENE, TX-- The Dallas Christian College men's soccer team suffered a 4-1 loss on Thursday night against NCAA Division 3 Hardin Simmons University.
The first 13 minutes of the game were defensive minded as neither team could get a shot in the back of the net. Finally, in the 15th minute HSU broke the tie with a goal by Jaden Barnwell. Two minutes later the Cowboys continued their offensive prowess with another goal to extend the lead to 2-0. In the 34th minute, the Crusaders finally pushed a shot into the back of the net when

Hardin Simmons wasted no time responding quickly with two goals in the next six minutes to extend the lead to 4-1. Neither team was able to find any offense in the second half as the defense controlled the pace of play. DCC tallied six shots, nine saves, and two corner kicks.Â
The Crusaders next match will be at Howard Payne University on Saturday, Sep. 24.
