DALLAS, TX-- Dallas Christian College (0-2) dropped its second game of the season to Sterling College (1-1) in a hard fought battle that was decided in the last 10 minutes of the game on a late goal by Jessica Gautreau.

The Lady Crusaders played swarming defense in the first half, not allowing SC to score a goal. That intensity continued into the second half, with DCC picking up the pace and putting pressure on the Sterling College back line. The Lady Crusaders attempted one more shot (6) in the second half than SC did. 

Sterling college struck 15 shots, 10 which were shots on goal. Dallas Christian College attempted 10 shots, 6 which were shots on goal. Jaymie Mcwilliams notched 9 saves in the game, 7 in the first half and 2 in the second half.

The Lady Crusaders gave SC all they could handle, but a goal in the 81st minute was the deciding factor in the match. DCC will get some rest and be back at home against Paul Quinn College on September 6 at 5 p.m.
