WAXAHACHIE, TX-- The Dallas Christian College men's basketball team suffered a 104-65 loss on the road against Southwestern Assemblies of God University on Tuesday evening.
SAGU started the game with a sharp offensive attack to build its lead to 57-31 at half-time. DCC continued to fight hard, but was not able to overcome the quick start by the Lions as SAGU outscored the Crusaders 47-34 in the second half to clinch a 104-65 win.
DCC shot 24-63 (38%) from the field, 8-28 (28%) from the 3 PT line, and 9-15 (60%) from the FT line. Joseph Allen scored a team-high 13 points and snagged 2 rebounds in 32 minutes of play. Allen shot 4-8 from the field, 1-2 from the 3 PT line, and 4-5 from the FT line. Tilly Hobson almost snatched a double-double with 9 points and 8 rebounds on 4-11 shooting from the field.Â

Tyjuan Battles scored 7 points. As a team, DCC had 24 rebounds, 14 assists, 3 blocks, and 8 steals. DCC will continue its long road-trip at Louisiana Monroe on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m.
