MANHATTAN, KS-- The Dallas Christian College women's volleyball team competed at the Southwest NCCAA DII Regional on Friday and Saturday. DCC breezed by Barclay College in straight sets in the quarterfinal match and lost to Manhattan Christian College in the semi-final match in straight sets on Saturday morning.

Game 1 vs. Barclay College- The Lady Crusaders rolled to victory in straight sets: 25-16, 25-17, and 25-14 against Barclay College. DCC dominated with 42 points, 33 kills, 6 aces, 3 blocks, 31 assists, and 72 digs. 

Christen Downey led the charge with 9 kills, Alexis Garner followed with 7 kills, and Makenna Ramsey reached 6 kills on the day. Megan Ross tallied 2 aces, and both Kelly Graves and Rae Leano had 1 ace. Autumn Allmon had 2 blocks, Emma Albertson tallied a block, and Makenna Rambo also recorded a block.

Hannah Gallegos led the team in assists with 14, Kelly Graves had 7 assists, and Rae Leano had 6 assists. Rae Leano led the team with 31 digs, McKenna Ramsey had 7 digs, and Hannah Gallegos had 7 digs.

Game 2: The Lady Crusaders fall in straight sets: 25-12, 25-14, 25-11 against Manhattan Christian College in the regional semifinals. DCC had 22 points, 19 kills, 1 Ace, 2 blocks, 16 assists, and 36 digs. 

Christen Downey led the team with 6 kills, Mary-Nichole Fenter had 3 kills, and Alexis Garner also had 3 kills. Makenna Rambo recorded the only Ace of the match for the Lady Crusaders. Makenna Rambo had 2 blocks, and Christen Downey recorded a block. 

Hannah Gallegos recorded 8 assists, Kelly Graves recorded 4 assists, and Rae Leano garnered two assists. Rae Leano captured 9 digs, Olivia Withers snagged 8 digs, and McKenna Ramsey had 4 digs.

The Lady Crusaders finish the season with a valiant effort and will look to carry momentum heading into the off-season.
